The impressive mountains of the Dolomites, or Dolomiten are spread
across the regions of Trentino-Alto Adige e il Veneto. The
Marmolada is, with its 3.342 m, the highest peak of the
Dolomites. Another extraordinary mountain range are the ?3
pinnacles of Laveredo in the Dolomites of Sesto. The mysterious
landscape of the Dolomites is characterised of wide, peaceful
pastures with rough reefs of limestone in higher altitudes. The
mountain peaks reach an average height of 3.000 to 3.200 m, and
often end in flat platforms. The only, still existing glacier is
the Marmoladaglacier. Spend your holiday in the Dolomites and
explore the magnificent nature choosing between a large number
of footpaths, hiking paths, and climbing trails of different
level of difficulty. The breathtaking landscape is a real
paradise for friends of hiking, climbing and for mountain bike
freaks. Choose from many picturesque, small villages situated in
the idyllic valleys, surrounded by the massive mountains for
your stay in the Dolomites. Every day you will experience new
impressions and highlights of the untouched nature. All
footpaths are well marked and kept in good condition. Follow the
trails over soft pastures and green meadows, trough mixed
forests, past refreshing streams and crystal clear mountain
lakes, until you get to higher altitudes with impressive views
over the mountain scenery. Following places belong to the famous
world of the Dolomites: the valley of Fassa, the valley of
Fiemme, the valley of Pusteria, Cortina d?Ampezzo, , Campiglio
and Pinzolo, Val Gardena, the platforms of Sciliar and
Catinaccio. In the valley of Fassa you will find the Marmolada,
the legendary Catinaccio and the mysterious Sassolungo. Also the
Latemar range in the valley of Fiemme is a favourite spot for
holiday makers with plenty possibilities for hiking. The valley
of Ega is home to the very friendly and traditional Ladins
people. Also the valley of Gardena is rich on history and
special arts and crafts. The terrific panorama of the ?Three
pinnacles?, the Dolomites of Braies and Sesto will guarantee you
unforgettable holiday impressions. The national park of
Adamello-Brenta is well known for its big variety of different
animals and plants. You would like to feel the warm sun on your
skin and take relaxing walks through the woods? Then the
platform of Sciliar is perfect for you! Spending a holiday in
